The lessons in Becoming an Effective Student help unmotivated youth to discover the importance of school. Skills covered include homework management and completion, test study skills, frustration management, and organization skills. The Gaining Self Control volume provides solutions that aid even very impulsive, noncompliant, angry, and emotionally troubled youth as they work to gain and consistently use impulse control, judgment, anger control, and basic self-management skills. Also included are self-esteem building and goal setting strategies that really work. The lessons included in the Peer Interaction Skills volume help youth to learn and use the social skills they need. The lessons show students how to initiate conversations, end fights, and avoid negative leaders.
